"If a doula were a drug, it would be unethical not to use it."

Postpartum Doula
A postpartum doula is a trained professional offering families knowledgeable support as they transition in the period following the birth of a baby. A postpartum doula specializes in supporting baby feeding, newborn care, family adjustment, emotional and physical recovery from birth, and unbiased companionship on your parenting journey. Whether it's your first baby or your fourth (or more!) a postpartum doula can nurture your transition, helping you build confidence, skills, and most importantly, enjoy this special time with your baby.
Researched benefits of postpartum support include lowered rates of postpartum mood disorders and increased parental satisfaction.

Postpartum Doula Services
I am a trained professional postpartum doula. I trained as a postpartum doula through DONA International 2 years after beginning my journey as a birth doula. My desire to offer postpartum support grew as I worked with families as a birth doula and saw a true need for support to nurture the transition that occurs when a new baby is added to the family. I wanted the ability to offer continuity of care to families whom I work with as a birth doula as well as families just seeking postpartum support. As a professional postpartum doula I use my knowledge and skills to offer individualized and unbiased support to parents as they transition into life with a new baby.
